Job Summary
The Senior Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room (OR) at the UCSF Medical Center, located in San Francisco. This position is focused on delivering exceptional surgical assistance and ensuring adherence to high standards of patient care and safety. The technologist is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment and managing the necessary instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms before procedures.
- Manage and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical operations.
- Coordinate with team members to fulfill patient care objectives.
- Ensure compliance with operation room attire protocols to safeguard patient health.
- Handle surgical instruments efficiently and maintain their availability during surgeries.
Qualifications
- Must possess official UCSF Medical Center identification.
