Job Summary
The role of a Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room at Mercy Hospital NWA is pivotal to ensuring a smooth surgical experience. This position involves maintaining the highest standards of patient care and coordinating effectively with the surgical team throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Ensure the availability and functionality of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to provide exemplary patient care.
- Participate in the sterile field, ensuring all protocols for sterile techniques are adhered to.
- Facilitate communication among team members for optimal surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and their uses.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
