Job Summary
The Sr. Surgical Technologist position in our outpatient operating room (OR) in Houston, Texas, is a crucial role that operates on weekdays from 6:30 am. This position is essential for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective operations within the outpatient OR.
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures.
- Observe and document patient problems and relevant findings, communicating these effectively to the licensed personnel.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate accurate discussions and decision-making.
- Support patient-centered care practices in conjunction with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in surgical technology, particularly in outpatient settings.
- Strong understanding and application of sterile techniques.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to relay observations succinctly to medical staff.
