Job Summary
The Staff Pharmacist plays a vital role in healthcare by providing pharmaceutical care to patients. This position focuses on ensuring the safe and effective use of medications while collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and advise patients on medication use.
- Review and verify physician orders for appropriateness.
- Provide consultations regarding drug interactions, side effects, and proper administration.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Participate in training and continuous education to stay current with industry practices.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacy licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
