Job Summary
The Staff Substation Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and supervising the structural aspects of utility-scale electrical substations. This position is based in Orlando, Florida, and requires an onsite presence to effectively manage projects and coordinate with procurement processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage structural engineering projects related to electrical substations.
- Assist in the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials and services.
- Coordinate with teams on the design and implementation of energy and renewable projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout the engineering process.
- Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations based on evaluations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural engineering, preferably within the utility sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical substation design principles.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Ability to pass a criminal/civil background check and drug test.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
