Job description
The Stationary Engineer is tasked with the operation, upkeep, and adjustment of building systems such as boilers, HVAC units, and generators. This role includes conducting preventive maintenance, inspecting machinery, and overseeing junior staff to guarantee the efficiency of the facility. Candidates should possess a valid High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer license from the New York City Department of Buildings. Additionally, applicants must either be a permanent holder of the Stationary Engineer civil service title or fulfill the criteria set by the civil service examination.
