Job description
Job Summary
The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in the preparation and compounding of sterile pharmaceuticals. This individual will ensure the highest standards of quality and safety while adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols. The technician will work closely with pharmacists to provide critical support in a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of sterile compounds by following established protocols.
- Ensure that all equipment and work areas are maintained to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Support the pharmacists in managing inventory and restocking supplies as necessary.
- Participate in quality control processes to verify the accuracy and purity of compounded products.
- Maintain thorough documentation of compounding activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; additional pharmacy technician certification is preferred.
- Experience in sterile compounding and knowledge of relevant regulatory standards is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
