Job description
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Educator is responsible for the development and implementation of educational programs aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of staff within the sterile processing department. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols in sterile processing operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs related to sterile processing techniques and best practices.
- Evaluate the efficacy of educational programs and make improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with departmental leadership to identify training needs and gaps in knowledge.
- Monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide on-going support and mentorship for staff members to reinforce learning.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in sterile processing and infection control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of sterilization methods and infection prevention.
- Experience in instructional design or training development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications in sterile processing or healthcare education are a plus.
