We are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for Evening shifts (Sterile Processing Tech 3) for a contract role based in Cleveland, OH, with a total duration of 13 weeks.
Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper sterilization and management of surgical instruments and medical equipment within the healthcare setting. This position requires visibility and active participation in sterilization processes for maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective sterilization of all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and quality controls of sterilization equipment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to understand sterilization needs and respond to inquiries.
- Stay updated with safety protocols and best practices in sterile processing.
- Adhere to all infection control standards and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must provide verification of licenses and certifications.
- Completion of the UHS Skills Checklist is required.
- Influenza vaccination is mandatory.
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID is essential.
- Two-step PPD or IGRA testing (Quantiferon/Tspot) completion is needed.
- Submission of the UHS Submission Packet must be completed.
- A UHS badge photo is required for identification purposes.
- Criminal background check results must be submitted to UHS.
- UHS OIG Search and compliance with other regulatory checks are required.
- Pass a UHS drug screening as part of the onboarding process.
- Completion of the UHS Module completion certificate is necessary.
- Submission of the UHS Prior Employment Form is required.
