Sterile Processing Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assemble and package trays and sets of surgical instruments.
- Utilize proper aseptic techniques to prevent infections.
- Maintain precise documentation of sterilization processes and the upkeep of equipment.
- Work alongside healthcare professionals to guarantee the availability of sterile supplies for surgeries.
- Follow safety protocols in handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications:
- Strong grasp of medical terminology and human anatomy.
- In-depth knowledge of sterile processing techniques and protocols.
