Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated, inspected, assembled, and sterilized. Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
- Assemble and package instruments for sterilization processes.
- Operate and monitor sterilization machinery to guarantee the safety of items.
- Maintain accurate records related to sterilization processes and instrument inventory.
Qualifications
- Valid Sterile Processing certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Preferred experience in sterile processing or within a clinical surgical services environment.
