Job Summary
Kaiser Permanente Woodland is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician II to ensure the readiness of operating room (OR) instruments. This position involves decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing various OR sets, as well as distributing the necessary supplies to support surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assemble and package surgical instrument sets for upcoming surgeries.
- Effectively sterilize medical equipment to ensure patient safety.
- Distribute sterilized supplies and equipment to the operating rooms as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of processed items and comply with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of a sterile processing program or surgical technician training.
- Relevant experience in a sterile processing or healthcare environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
