Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Tech 3 plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of surgical instruments and medical devices. This position requires an individual who can effectively manage sterilization processes, maintain compliance with health regulations, and support the operational needs of healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure that all procedures comply with relevant safety and health standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilized equipment to maintain quality control.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff in sterile processing techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment usage.
- Recommend improvements to reduce processing time and enhance efficiency.
- Participate in regular quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to policies.
Qualifications
- Certification in sterile processing technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sterile processing environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
