Job Summary
Fairview Health Services is currently on the lookout for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician specializing in Operating Room (OR) instruments to join the team at Lakes Hospital located in Wyoming, MN. This on-site position plays a crucial role in ensuring that surgical instruments are adequately decontaminated, processed, and sterilized, while also providing essential support to surgical teams through the management of necessary supplies.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual decontamination of surgical instruments.
- Process and sterilize instruments to maintain safety and efficiency in the operating room.
- Support OR teams with the supply of required instruments and materials during surgeries.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols for instrument handling and sterilization.
- Maintain equipment and workspaces in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with surgical staff.
