Job Summary
The Structural Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural components in projects located in Oakland, California, and other specified areas. This role includes collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the design and engineering of structures including bridges, tunnels, and significant civil projects.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to promote integrated solutions.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure that they comply with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct structural assessments and provide solutions for existing structures as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of engineering processes and designs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Structural Engineer, particularly in civil and heavy structural projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Expertise in engineering software and tools for structural analysis and design.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
- A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, along with appropriate licensing.
