Structural Engineer

As a Structural Engineer, you will be instrumental in providing expertise for scaffolding, structural shoring, temporary structures, and construction engineering, among other responsibilities. This position entails the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural systems across a diverse range of projects including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and contractors to create designs that are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer:
- Develop structural components and systems in alignment with industry standards and best practices
- Carry out load calculations, structural assessments, and material selection
- Create and evaluate drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to unify structural designs
- Conduct site assessments and inspections to verify adherence to design specifications
- Examine and authorize shop drawings and construction materials
- Confirm that all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes
Qualifications for the Structural Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred (or the ability to obtain one)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methodologies
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and communication skills
