Job Summary
WSP USA is inviting applications for a Full-Time Structural Engineering Intern role focused on substations, stationed at our Portland, OR office for the forthcoming summer program. This internship presents an opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals in the Power and Energy team while acquiring practical knowledge through a mix of research and field activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in structural engineering tasks related to substation design and analysis.
- Support senior engineers in conducting field assessments and inspections.
- Engage in research initiatives to improve structural methodologies.
- Participate in the preparation of documentation and reports.
- Contribute to team meetings and project discussions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience or coursework related to power delivery systems is a plus.
