Surgical Support Team Lead
$17.25/hr.
Cleveland, Ohio
Full-time | Monday – Friday
2nd Shift Openings

• Supervises and ensures the safe transport of patients to specified locations as requested by nursing staff.
• Utilizes diverse technical skills to support nurses during surgical procedures.
• Manages and maintains equipment and supplies for Support Services.
• Ensures the Operating Room (O.R.) is kept in a clean, safe, and visually appealing state.
• Guides and escorts patients and visitors to the correct assistance points.
• Creates a secure atmosphere for patients and their families, leading to positive outcomes.
• Assists the Supervisor in managing daily staffing needs.
• Tracks and records quality outcomes systematically.
• Manages patient monitoring using electronic software systems.
• Organizes and oversees Uniform Room tasks, including locker assignments and scrubs distribution for all O.R. staff.
• Handles and disposes of hazardous materials appropriately.
• Responds to specific cleaning requests related to radioactive waste and infection control during surgical operations.
• Performs additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Completion of high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• The role necessitates critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and capability to operate independently.
• Must demonstrate empathy and awareness for patients experiencing physical or emotional challenges, remaining sensitive to their needs.
• Requires comprehensive mobility, including the ability to lift or support 100 pounds with assistance, and frequently managing moderate to heavy weights.
• May deal with exposure to bodily fluids.
• Availability for flexible scheduling based on the surgical area’s needs is required.
• Float assignments may occur in line with department policies within surgical support.
• Adheres to safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
