Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position involves collaboration with surgical teams to facilitate efficient and safe patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Scrub for surgeries, maintaining a sterile field.
- Help with stocking supplies and selection of instruments for surgical cases.
- Provide assistance in sterile processing within the surgery department as necessary.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.
- Possession of a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
- Prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
