Job Summary
Novant Health is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Matthews, North Carolina. This role is essential for maintaining sterile conditions and ensuring patient safety during invasive surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating room.
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for procedures.
- Assist in patient positioning and draping to maintain a safe environment.
- Collaborate with surgeons and nurses during operations to facilitate the surgical process.
- Monitor and manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure patient welfare.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
