Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Cardiovascular Operating Room plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. This full-time position is focused on delivering exceptional care to patients and their families throughout their surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and available.
- Support surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Handle instruments and supplies efficiently throughout surgical operations.
- Participate in cleaning and restocking the operating room post-surgery.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or demonstration of equivalent training.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a surgical team.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience in a cardiovascular surgical unit is preferred but not mandatory.
