Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) – OR CORE role in Hartford, Connecticut, is vital for delivering exceptional medical and surgical care. This position emphasizes the importance of patient well-being while also ensuring the welfare and professional growth of Surgical Technologists. Candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are readily available and properly sterilized.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and other operating room personnel to facilitate a smooth workflow.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Participate in maintaining the overall cleanliness and order of the operating room.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or the ability to obtain certification.
- Demonstrated understanding of sterile techniques and procedures.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
