Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) for General Surgery at Windham Hospital in Willimantic, Connecticut, is responsible for supporting surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team. This role requires collaboration with a dedicated team of skilled healthcare professionals committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical operations.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room and surgical instruments.
- Provide support to surgeons and other medical personnel during procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in the care and handling of surgical equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience as a surgical technologist or in an operating room setting.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
