Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) in the General Surgery department at Windham Hospital plays a vital role in promoting effective surgical care. This position requires the individual to uphold strict aseptic techniques while assisting in various surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare staff in preparing for surgeries.
- Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available for surgical teams.
- Participate in post-operative care and equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the operating room.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical technology or operating room settings.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
