Job Summary
St. Peter’s Health Partners is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our full-time day-shift team in Albany, New York. This position is fundamental to our operating room team, where you will play a crucial role as the first scrub, contributing to efficiency and safety within the sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first scrub in the operating room, ensuring all instruments are prepared and readily available.
- Set up and maintain sterile fields to provide a safe environment for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment and supplies before surgeries.
Qualifications
- Preferred 1–2 years of experience in an operating room (OR) setting.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or accepted alternatives.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
