Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room at Mercy Hospital NWA plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures. This position focuses on ensuring the efficient functioning of the surgical team by being an integral part of the patient’s care during surgery.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Coordinate surgical patient care in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies.
- Provide support to surgeons and other medical staff during procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use.
Qualifications
- Certification or relevant training as a Surgical Technologist.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a surgical team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
