Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (Main OR) at Mercy Hospital NWA plays a vital role in the perioperative team by ensuring the seamless coordination and care of surgical patients. This position is based onsite in Rogers, Arkansas, and involves a day shift schedule. The Surgical Technologist is instrumental in facilitating the surgical process and enhancing the efficiency of the operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Support surgical teams by providing instruments, sutures, and supplies during operations.
- Ensure a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with nurses and surgeons to optimize patient care.
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and operating room protocols.
