Job Summary
We are looking for a Surgical Technologist (Non-Certified) to join our Ophthalmology Operating Room team in Eastern, Kentucky, on a part-time basis. This position is essential for facilitating effective surgical procedures by supporting the surgical team and ensuring a smooth operational workflow.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during operations by providing necessary support and preparing the surgical area.
- Handle surgical instruments and ensure their proper sterilization and organization.
- Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
- Provide intraoperative assistance to enhance the surgeon’s efficiency and patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification is required to ensure adherence to safety and emergency protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
