Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the surgical team responsible for facilitating patient care in the operating room. This role encompasses a variety of tasks essential for surgical procedures, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing for operations.
- Ensure a sterile environment by adhering to strict sterile techniques.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and physicians throughout surgical procedures.
- Provide a comprehensive range of support services aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
- Participate in maintaining the surgical equipment and tools used during surgery.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Experience in an operating room or similar clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate consistent sterile technique practice.
- Effective communication skills to work as part of a healthcare team.
