Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room plays a crucial role in the surgical team by ensuring that all surgical instruments and materials are properly prepared and sterilized. This position is located in Grand Junction, Colorado, and requires on-site work. The technologist supports the surgical staff by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize the operating room by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments and supplies are available and sterile.
- Assist in maintaining safety and compliance with sterilization standards for all surgical equipment and materials.
- Communicate effectively with patient care providers to assess and address patient needs.
- Support the surgical team throughout the procedure to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (ORT).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of sterilization processes and surgical safety procedures.
