Job Summary
A Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in the operating room by assisting with surgical procedures. This position involves preparing the surgical environment, ensuring the sterility of instruments, and supporting the surgical team to facilitate successful operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and correctly arranged.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a hygienic work environment.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and materials as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Contribute to the maintenance of sterile fields and assist in the management of surgical instruments.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist may be required.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork in the operating room.
