Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in assisting surgical teams during operations. This position is essential for preparing operating rooms, ensuring that all surgical instruments are sterilized, and providing support to the entire surgical team to promote patient safety and effective surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist the surgical team by handling surgical tools and supplies during operations.
- Ensure a sterile environment to protect patient safety.
- Monitor the surgical field and the patient’s well-being throughout the procedure.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training.
- Certification in surgical technology is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
