Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in delivering compassionate care within the operating room setting. This position involves assisting in various surgical specialties, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patients, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile field and apply aseptic techniques to facilitate safe surgical environments.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and registered nurses as directed during operations.
- Label laboratory specimens appropriately for further processing.
- Provide support to patients and their families before and after procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist may be preferred.
- Understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and aseptic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
