Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist specializing in the Operating Room (OR) plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by assisting in various tasks, which include the preparation of instruments, ensuring sanitation, and prioritizing patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients in the operating room.
- Be involved in decision making regarding surgical procedures and patient care.
- Monitor medical conditions and comply with the related protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in surgical techniques and understanding of OR protocols.
- Knowledge of sterilization methods and infection control.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and changes during surgical procedures.
