Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in the operating room by assisting healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. This position involves several key functions, such as preparing the operating space, maintaining sterile conditions, and supporting the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room to provide a safe environment for patients.
- Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment to prevent infections.
- Support surgical teams by providing the necessary tools and supplies during procedures.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Assist in the setup of instruments and materials needed for surgeries.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a surgical technologist.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
