Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maternal Fetal Medicine will work onsite in Lafayette, Louisiana, focusing on patient care in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Medical Director and collaborating with medical staff to deliver comprehensive maternal-fetal health services.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced medical care and support to patients under the guidance of the Medical Director.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs), nurses, and discharge teams to ensure effective patient management.
- Engage in health assessments and develop treatment plans for maternal-fetal patients.
- Monitor and evaluate the health status of patients, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Specialization in Adult/Geriatric Nursing is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for collaborative team efforts.
