Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring that operating rooms are ready and compliant with safety standards. This position requires a high level of engagement in patient care and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during operations by ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
- Prioritize patient safety by adhering to stringent sterile protocol.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in the surgical environment.
Qualifications
- Proficient in the principles of sterile technique and operation room protocols.
- Ability to work effectively within a surgical team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage surgical instruments and supplies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with medical staff.
