Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room, supporting surgical procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. This position requires an individual who is adept at assisting surgeons and the medical team by preparing operating rooms, maintaining a sterile environment, and managing surgical instruments efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in surgical procedures by providing necessary supplies and instruments.
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Support surgical teams by ensuring that the appropriate instruments are ready for use.
  • Monitor patient safety throughout procedures and assist in making critical decisions.
  • Understand medical conditions and the implications for surgery, offering support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in an operating room setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization techniques, and patient safety protocols.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to support the surgical team effectively.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
