Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room plays a critical role in the surgical team by preparing for surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring that necessary instruments are ready for use. This position requires a detailed understanding of surgical processes and patient care essentials.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and available.
- Support the surgical staff to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Relevant certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care principles.
- Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
