Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in the surgical team by ensuring that the operating room is set up for procedures, instruments are sanitized, and assisting during surgeries. This position is vital in promoting patient safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments are sterile.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety throughout the surgical process.
- Participate in the cleanup of the operating room after surgeries.
- Coordinate with nursing and medical staff to ensure smooth surgical operations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with formal training in surgical technology.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
