The Surgical Technologist scrubs on surgical procedures in the operating room and assists physicians in procedural areas. They are also responsible for maintaining sterile fields, managing surgical instruments, and ensuring accurate specimen labeling. Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. A valid BLS certification and professional certification as a Surgical Technologist are required upon hire.
