Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist for General Surgery will support surgical operations in Manchester, Connecticut, ensuring a high standard of patient care in the operating room. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and a commitment to maintaining a professional environment in collaboration with the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist in the handling and processing of surgical specimens.
- Ensure adherence to the five medication rights throughout patient care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
- Experience as a Surgical Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles in the surgical setting.
