Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room environment by providing essential support during surgical procedures. This position is located in Mooresville, North Carolina, and is available for multiple shifts. Surgical Technologists contribute to delivering compassionate care, impacting the lives of patients and their families through their expertise in surgical practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Handle and label laboratory specimens for processing accurately.
- Support the physician or registered nurse throughout the surgery by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Reinforce protocols to maintain aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) may be required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and remain focused under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
