Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room is a crucial member of the surgical team, responsible for ensuring optimal surgical processes and maintaining high standards of patient care during operations. This role is based onsite in Concord, Massachusetts, and emphasizes the importance of surgical accuracy and safety in the operating environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all surgical instruments and materials are properly arranged and sanitized.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures while ensuring patient safety.
- Follow stringent protocols and guidelines to prevent infection and maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons and nursing staff to facilitate smooth surgical operations.
- Participate in the inventory and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Experience working in an Operating Room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, techniques, and sterile procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills required for collaboration in a high-pressure environment.
