Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech – CST / ST plays a crucial role in ensuring a successful surgical experience by assisting with various aspects of surgical procedures. This position emphasizes precision in preparation, execution, and post-operative care, focusing on maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterility of surgical fields and adhere to strict protocols to prevent infection.
- Provide support during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Participate in post-operative care and ensure all necessary equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Technician (ST).
- Experience in the operating room environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential for collaboration in the surgical team.
- Ability to maintain focus and efficiency in a fast-paced surgical setting.
