Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist / OR Tech (CST / ST) position in Lafayette, Louisiana, focuses on providing support in a dynamic and patient-centered environment within the operating room. This role is essential for ensuring that surgical procedures proceed smoothly and effectively through the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment necessary for procedures.
- Ensure that sterile drapes, instruments, and equipment are properly arranged according to established protocols.
- Assist the surgical team during operations to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Surgical Tech (ST) is preferred.
- Experience in a surgical setting, particularly in an operating room environment.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and techniques.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
