Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist PDm for OR General Surgery position based in Manchester, Connecticut is essential for supporting surgical teams by providing technical expertise and assistance. This role requires individuals who have completed a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program and possess certification as a Surgical Technologist. The certified individual will help ensure efficient surgical operations in the general surgery department.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile environment.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment safely and effectively.
- Support surgeons and other medical staff by providing the necessary tools and materials during operations.
- Adhere to standardized protocols and practice safe patient care procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program is mandatory.
- Possession of a Surgical Technologist Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or from the National Center for Competency Testing (TS-C) is required.
- Demonstrated experience and competency in the surgical technologist role is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
