Job Summary
ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin is in search of a dedicated Surgical Technologist to provide essential support in the operating room. This role involves preparing and caring for surgical patients while working under the supervision of a nurse or physician, ensuring high standards of patient safety and sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict sterile techniques throughout surgeries.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations.
- Care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies appropriately.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations.
