Job Summary
The System Supervisor is responsible for managing sterile processing functions to ensure the safe sterilization of surgical instruments and efficient supply management. This position requires close collaboration with other departments to uphold exceptional standards in instrument care and to manage unit workflows effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee sterile processing operations to guarantee compliance with sterilization procedures.
- Work in conjunction with various departments to maintain instrumental integrity and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to established standards for instrument care and sterilization protocols.
- Manage and coordinate unit workflows to optimize performance in sterile supply management.
Qualifications
- Experience in sterile processing and supply management is essential.
- Relevant certifications such as CBSPD or CRCST are required.
- Extensive understanding of AAMI guidelines and surgical instruments is crucial.
- Commitment to obtain CHL certification within two years of employment.
