Job Summary
The sanitation technician plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the plant by ensuring all equipment and facilities are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Adherence to food safety protocols, as well as FDA and OSHA regulations, is paramount in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and plant facilities.
- Disassemble machines as necessary to facilitate thorough cleaning.
- Conduct janitorial tasks to maintain hygienic standards.
- Follow established Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) in all cleaning activities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in kitchen or food plant sanitation is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic understanding of sanitation chemicals and safety protocols is necessary.
